The walls were never thick enough. A pale hand, wet with old blood and gore, pushed through the plaster as if it had always known the way. Behind it, two red unsympathetic eyes watched without blinking. Whatever lived on the other side had grown tired of waiting — and the moon, high and full, offered no protection at all as you watch in horror, the creature coming for you.
